The misses and I have just bought a "project". I will be rewiring it and running a 6mm cable from the board to the loft so that PV could be added later.

Now, our budget is tight at the moment so we can't do PV now but as the roof, (standard roof tiles), is almost exactly south facing could somebody please give me a VERY approx price for PV??

Well it depends what sized system you are after. Its like asking what is a ball park price for a new car

I second Ian's price points. It depends on how many panels you have, their quality and what inverter you use. £3k for 1kW (4 panels) up to 16 panels for a typical house.

If you have financing for the house, then see if you can extend it whilst rates are low and get a system up now. The FIT will be reduced slightly at the end of June so take advantage of the current rate whilst panel prices are relativity good!

If you hold off then make sure you don't do anything to hamper unshaded roof space!

Between £6-8k depending on panels/inverters, what scaffold requirements there are etc.

If the cable is run, and scaf were on site already, you might get down to £5.5k, maybe even a little lower, but that's around your bottom end
