Hello all, I’m a contractor and pretty decent with electrical. But I’m super stumped. I have only one baseboard heater in my house that will not turn off. I have replaced the thermostat 2 times now, so I’m pretty confident it’s not that. Could there be anything else I’m missing? On a side note, I seem to have low volt thermostat wiring running under my condo too, would there be any reason for that? All my other ones seem to work fine with the thermostats. They are 4 wire baseboard heaters. Any help or advice would be appreciated! Thanks

Could it possibly be that you have a bad heater. If so it sounds like internal wiring problem in the base board heater which could be dangerous. You could have a safety switch bad but it’s stuck in the closed position which will not let the heater cut off

I have this same issue. Is there anyway to check the safety switch? My heaters are about 40 yrs old, would they even have safety switches?
Thanks!
