Been looking for these for ages!! (ICON) so thanks for the link. Fitted one couple of years ago and forgot what they were. So thanks for that, was looking for tool bags and came across this.

XID100 | Xpelair

used these a fair few times mounted in lofts. there are also run on timers and speed controllers available and it all seems to work very well. usually use these in conjunction with a "fan light kit" disposing of the fan part and just usuing it as a ceiling grille with the 12v downlight.

ive bought the kit from screwfix inline duct fan ducting vent grils all for ÂŁ45.00 never had a problem if im not mistaken they are manrose

There are three main types of domestic in-line fan:
Axial - I can't think of many of our regulars who still fit these now as they are so weak.
Centrifugal - Used to be a better option for longer duct runs (not necessarily shifting much more air than an axial though - so check the performance stats)
Mixed Flow - Best of both worlds - High performance in terms of air volume and extract distance. They also come with two speed settings.

The Airflow Aventa is by far the best seller at the moment as the price and quality is so good. The Vortice Lineo is more powerful but but you probably don't need the extra power in a regular bathroom:

Airflow Aventa Timer Fan 100mm Mixed Flow 2 Speed [9041086]
Vortice Lineo 100 TIMER Mixed Flow Inline Fan [17021]

Vent Axia's ACM and Xpelair's XIM range mixed flow fans are also excellent fans but you will pay a lot more for purely the name.
