Sleeve and identify the earth core in that flex.. BROWN-LIVE.. then connect it to the switched terminals in both light and fan
Because it would then work. If sleeving the flex earth conductor it can be used as either the switched live or permanent live.Why?
Quite correct I missed the no permanent live at light .Theres no perm live at that light

OK I agree. I Wouldn't do it that way as I would like to use the correct 3core and Earth. And fit a extractor isolator switch between the light fitting feed and the extractor.
Agree. As stated in my post I would run a 3 core and Earth.And I wouldn't do it that way because according to 412.2.3.2 circuits with one or more items of Class II equipment shall have a cpc run to and terminated at each point in wiring and at each accessory (except where double or reinforced insulation is being used as the sole protective measure for the whole circuit or installation).
