Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a decent manufacturer for bathroom extractor fans and the best place to buy them?

Fitted a CED 100mm one from toolstation about 18 months ago and it is already really noisy!

Going to replace it with a slightly more expensive one.

Thanks

Yeah I have fitted Xpelair and Vent Axia and never have any problems.

However, my friend is pretty tight with his money so looking for a cheaper option (not recommended by myself)

TLC are selling an Airflow Aura Eco for less than ÂŁ20.

Anyone fitted one before?

If he's paying you to install it, recommend a good fan, but if he still says he wants the cheap one, you'll get paid again in a couple of years to replace it.

If it's a freebie for a mate, tell him you'll stick a cheap one in this time, but that you won't replace it FOC when it fails.

I've got an airflow icon in our bathroom, where they make their money is from the additional untis you need for them. The basic fan will be ÂŁ20 but if you want an over run, add on XÂŁ. You want an over run and a humidistat, add on YÂŁ

They have a special offer on there website which is ÂŁ13.99 + vat with a timer so not a bad price!

Bar stewards! I paid a lot more than that for ours.
But I did include the humidistat and over run timer unit. Plus the duct. Plus the outside vent so maybe I wasn't STIFFED BEYOND ALL BELIEF!!!!!!!!!!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRR
:)
