bathroom heat mat stat

just been reading posts re stat for bathroom heating mat being placed outside bathroom? doesn,t that defeat the object ? or is it me ?

Is the floor heated outside the bathroom also? It does sound a bit odd.
Take it this is underfloor heating?

Electric UFH heating stats come with floor temp sensor so that when the stat is placed outside of the room the stat can be programmed to read the floor temp instead of the air temp

Lol, I'm slow today , I read that as the stat was the sensor outside the bathroom.
