What's best type of heater to use in a bathroom? I was thinking rcd protected skt feeding an oil heater or maybe wall mounted convector heater??
It's a large bathroom which wants to be warmed up before being used in the winter. Cust doesn't want to keep sticking central heating on. Thanks

if its a large bathroom, wall mounted convector is unlikely to provide enough warmth, and you'd have to be off.your rocker to install a socket in there.
personally I'd tell em to get a towel rail that's a radiator. makes it look better than just a standard rad.that of course means using central heating though...

Hey whatever the Cust wants the Cust gets! No I meant fused spur flexed. It would take a while but it's not my electric shes using. Heating would prob be cheaper & heat whole house

Of course, I will explain the expense side of things to her but she is just looking for a quick way of warming up the room before she has a bath. I am looking for other opinions I'm thinking 2-3 kW heater on the wall fused spur

Hi craig
Personally I would put a wall mounted the IR type high on the wall outside the zones, obviously , you csn then put the fcu at the top of wall
As well ...usually,and you can still buy these
They come will a pull cord they heat fast and the heat is focused down so the customer should be cosy !!
Personally I would not put a convector type in bathroom . I would put a towel rail in with a heater element in there with a fsu
Regards

I would use a electric heated towel rail - but it is not fast - however it also helps reduce condensation problems and it provides background heat to the bathroom.
For quick heating the best would be a far infra-red (FIR) heater high on the wall in approriate zone. These hardly glow but heat the body by FIR - very energy efficient. They are used a lot in churches, etc, to heat the people and not the whole volume of the space/room.

That's the kind of reply I was looking for thanks deroeper. Not like detective dan doing his background checks!
I was thinking an ir heater also but they do get very hot & have an exposed element that was my only concern but that may a good option. Thanks again

Yeah I think the ir heater is the answer I can aim it at the area where she will get out of the bath & dry her particulars. This will do the job. Thanks
