Electrician has completed first fix (away at mo). Wire for bathroom light is still exposed and I would like to purchase a bathroom mirror with lights on.

Would it be possible for him to connect to the existing wire for the mirror light.

So basically you are a DIYer doing it your self, because if an electrician had first fixed it for you .. you would have his number and it would be easier to phone rather than track this site down, and plus if he did the work he would know the answer to your question,,,

As Jason said, it will probably be possible but check with your electrician.

There are two ways to connect the light. One is with a permanently live supply and a small pull cord on the mirror light. The other is to have it coming on with the ceiling light. Decide which you prefer, buy the appropriate light fitting and speak nicely to your electrician. Also bear in mind that the light will need the appropriate rating for that zone of the bathroom.

Your electrician will advise you on things like part P notification and RCD protection.

Yes, an electrician is involved hence why I mentioned him!!

As I also said he is away on holiday and did not want disturb is holiday.

Thanks for all sensible replies.

The mirror light comes with a pulley cord, I will speak to him on his return.
