Bathroom regulations

Hi there people.

ive just bought a new build house and to say I've had problems is a understatement,the one I'm not quite sure on is as follows:when entering the en-suite bathroom the light switch is on the bedroom side of the wall right up against the door casing,on the opposite side of the wall is the shower.Now I can stand in the shower basin and reach out and touch the switch on the opposite side of the wall no problems at all-not that I would!! I know about zonal areas but does this count in a different room?
any help would be much appreciated!

I know this ones slightly different,I've recently bought a new house,the light switch to the en-suite is on the bedroom side of the wall right up against the door casing,on the other side of the wall is the shower cubicle,in theory I can stand in the shower basin and reach out and switch my lights on,do the zones in the regs count when the switch and the shower are in different rooms? I've had countless problems with this new house regarding g the electrical side of things which I've pulled the site manager on but I'm not sure on this one,any help would be much appreciated

This sounds acceptable to me. Although I don't step out of a shower until I'm dry let alone leave the room

The zones of a bathroom are limited by the walls / ceilings of a bathroom so the switch would be out of zone.

If your not happy get a certified electrician around to discuss your problems ,who could write a letter with any problems on (if there are any ) which you could take to the site agent and get them to sort the problems for you can
