[ElectriciansForums.net] Bathroom television[ElectriciansForums.net] Bathroom televisionHi guys, if ya read my previous posts you'll know that my boss trusted me with my first house on my own. I must've done an ok job because I'm on my second house for the same client.

They've just been in and changed all the plans (again) this time they want a television to go on the wall in the bathroom. How does that work? My colleague once told me that the power supply goes above in the loft but there is no room for that here. The bathroom is in an extended part of the house with a flat roof. Although the wall backs on to the garage. Suggestions please :)

Micky86 dont take it to heart you forget no-one know you or your experience and to be honest what might seem obvious to yourself might not to the next peron querying this subject, been on here years and some qualifieds sometimes miss the most obvious issues with their questions, as you have corrected us we see the TV rating isnt of concern its just that some of the latter postee's havent read back through the posts and re-printed what has already been answered.

I am a lil grouchy today too. Sorry :( haha

I cut through a heating pipe behind a dot and dab wall today(where it shouldnt have been) , its fri' the 13th too but didn't phase me at all just repaired it and got on with job, although on the plus side i gained another customer after his regular electrician couldn't fault a compressor and cocked it all up.... Don't let the job get to you and especially dont take some posts as a personel dig, we have to weigh up your competence when your O/P give us limited info about the job or you.
Keep posting always happy to help and hope job goes well.

micky, i wasn't having a go at you. just that in your OP you didn't mention whether or not you knew to use a suitable TV for the environment.

Now that everyone is friends again, do we know yet why the customer wants a TV in the bathroom? Is it just one-upmanship like the electric drawers again? Daz

Definitely one-upmanship. Loads of money and they've bought the house for the son. Some of the things they are talking about is nuts. And it has to be completed in 6 weeks because the son is getting married. Will definitely keep the thread open and post some pics when it's all completed.

They have also opted for the bed where the television comes up from the foot of the bed.
They've boarded up the doors to one of the bedrooms and one of bathrooms. turned it into a walk in dressing room which then leads on to the en-suite bathroom

might i sujest a quick look here for those asking "Bathroom tv WTF?" they ARE popular and as for WHY? Cos I can as is the case with most over indulgences And you can watch Prawn if you have a waterproof DVD player as well

Micky the instructions for the particular modle should be followed TO THE LETTERR regarding mounting ect pay special attention to airflow /volume surrounding tv Most Iv fitted have been in plasterboard strapped out from the brick and tiled right up to the edge of television the mounting box lips behind the tiles STUNNUNG look when fitted correctly

micky, we weren't insulting you at all. As already said, you didn't give us details of the setup and we get soooo many posters on here that don't know the basics that we always try to cover these to begin with.
Sorry if you felt any disrespect.

Good job.....but did you have to include a shot of your ugly mug when taking the photo????:ack2:

Always good to hear/see the end of the story. You gettin an invite to the weddin?

Regards
