Battery Storage and Proportional Controllers

Things are getting more complicated as things progress. Have talked to Andy at Sibert about this a little. Just wondered if anyone else has much experience with this.

Both work off a CT clamp. How would you set up a hiearachy of use and ensure both devices don't fight each other? In all cases background use is first priority. You really then need to decide whether priority is battery or hot water, which may be dependent on how water is heated or need to turn off boiler in the summer.

Thoughts please.

Incidentally, we are still in business and quite busy - mainly new build projects and maintenance.

you need to be able to set the threshold quite high, and also ideally a time delay on the immersion controller. The Elios 4 you based systems are good for this, but I've just done a battery system with a more basic controller and even though we could change the threshold up to 100W it still was getting thrown out when a big load switched off (kettle) as the battery system breifly exports before it can adjust downwards.

The nedap battery systems we did a while back had a relay that we set up to trigger a contactor to turn the immersion control off / on.
