baumatic extractor hood faulty

my daughter just bought a kitchen from a kitchen company thats closing down.
they included a baumatic BT066ME extractor hood but nothing happens when i turn it on?
theres power going through to the connector blocks then nowhere else,
on the switches are extra terminals but i dont want to move wires about and damage the unit.
is it possible the power light is a type of fuse?
if yes what amp will it be

no offence taken, theres no sign of any safety switch that ive seen apart from the one that when you remove the filter cover, it disables the hood, which is inplace when i tried it

this has really got me beat, as i normally repair televisions, hifis, computers etc. but this is confusing

Are you saying you've got power to 1 side of the mains connector but nothing out of it ? or have you actually got power going to the switch bank ?

double check connections and check that the safety switch for the cover is closing properly also......

I know of a couple of Baumatic hoods that have failed recently shortly after installation and Baumatic have sent out one of their repair bods to fix it under warranty when they were called

problem solved, turns out its a faulty safety switch

not sure? but when i opened hood after changing a switch wire on main switch, it came on flickered then off, so disconnected safety switch and its fine, sent for new safety switch
