I just thought it was horribly confusing for anyone who doesn't know much about solar pv and while it's good that ESG were shown up it didn't show solar pv overall in a particularly good light. The figures make me laugh every time. Up to 3000 people per month putting solar on - ESG have installed 18,000 systems - so they've installed approx 50% of the market, but didn't Ploughcroft say they'd done the equivelant of 20% and then there's the utilities, Mark Group, A Shade Greener, Isis, Eaga/Carillion - they can't all have done what they say they've done - otherwise the number of installations would have to be tripled to account for all the work these guys have done - and that's without the jobs the peeps on this Forum are doing.

We've installed 75 systems this week so far - another 20 going in tomorrow ......

It turned out to be more elaborate than that - the installer (think he was a damp-proofer) was being shown around the house by the bogus customer, customer pulls back a curtain and BOO! there's Matt Alright BBC Rogue Traders grinning at him through a hole cut in the wall, nearly giving the installer a heart attack. Matt Alright BBC Rogue Traders and a camera crew burst through the false wall and chase the clearly distressed installer down the road.
