What I thought scary was the statistic that 20% of cable was thought to be fake!

Right that's its, from now on I'm only getting my cable from the big orange shed because all their stuff has a nice BS sticker on it although I don't know what BS their on about .

Last month fitted and clipped 380m split concentric
Tested found .25meg neutral to cpc
Cut in the middle found both half’s got faults
Cut again all faulty
Ripped it all out
Tested a 3m bit 3megs
Will not be buying Doncaster again in a hurry

i assume you complained -what was the response??

on all big sites not that ive been on one lately they get you to ir the cable while its still on the drum to make sure its ok before cable gang pull it in surely were not going to have to run 100m of t&e on drum to test first

Hi all, the ESC have been harping on about this for a while in their switched on magazine Atlos Kabel a huge Turkish Group have lost their BASC ticket over it ESC recokon they have confisacted and destroyed loads. We been cutting a metre of the statr off all Drums and Testing before installing. As the ESC reckon multiple brands and type affected. Check out the back issues avalible from their website.
