I wouldn't bet on it Takes a while but there's not many posts slip through the net.

The reporting of unsuitable posts does help speed things up though.

As for getting paid buttons....mine must still be in the post.

It certainly helps for the forum I work in, the first place I go when I log in is to check for reported posts and clean up any that haven't already been dealt with. Unfortunately I never have time to reply to the individual reports to say thanks to the sender but that doesn't mean I'm not grateful.

How do you become a moderator on this forum?
Do you: ?
1/ have to be invited
2/ Drink down the pub
3/ have to post more than a certain number of posts
4/ partake in some obscure nocturnal ceremony
5/ Purchase web credits
6/ be an honorary member of the associated ebay bloggers convention

1/ You must have a sleeping disorder to be able to do your normal job for ten hours a day, family life for 3 hours a day, moderate for 8 hours a day and sleep the other 4 hours. Maths doesn't have to be a strong point .

2/ Must be able to turn your back on your normal friends and only have friendships over the internet.

3/ Be ready to get alienated by all your new friends once you've banned a few. (please take note of the spelling of "banned" ).

4/ Must be doing a university degree to obtain a HND or PHD like half of them are doing.

5/ Don't let the power go to your head. "With great power comes great responsibility".

6/ Don't get too involved with heated discussion although you want to jump on a thread and have a go at the numpty that's just asked about exporting pme for the 8th time in a week.

7/ Go by your actual name and not a nick name, eg Dan, Dave, Jason, Lenny*, Phil, Sintra*, Marvo. (*= may not be there actual names due to security reasons, social security reasons).

8/ Have compassion for small fat electricians from up north before hitting the BAN button .

I had always assumed that to be a mod you have to have either no job or some really boring office job which basically just involves moderating a forum all day, then do the same when you get home.
I'd have volunteered myself to do it except for one problem - I don't want to.

id love to be mod,is there any mods out there i could work along side for free,i have my Electrical Trainee mod quals,im willing to lose my respect and morals in return for training to be a mod,i can only do weekends as i have wife kids and a mortgage,i know i will lose them all on being a mod anytway but its something ive always wanted to do.......

I think you have to be a time served apprentice and a gold Mod card before you can be considered. Lol
