Can anyone help? I have a single strip light in my kitchen which has recently started to beep intermittently. It does not happen all of the time but every few weeks or so. When it does happen it seems to stop the heating from coming on (we have a wireless connection from the thermostat to the boiler).

Could it be that the light is on it's way out and somehow tripping the wireless connection too?

Thanks

Are you sure it isnt the heat detector in the kitchen (if you have one) telling you the batteries are running low or power loss to detector??
with regards to the heating issue, i would re locate the room stat transmitter closer to the receiver unit sometimes different things can affect the transmission.

Usually a circular or rectangle shaped object maybe 6" in size and will be mounted on the ceiling. Carbon monoxide detector could be another device which is a possibly beeping.

I once had a call out from a customer who's oven was beeping, it turned out to be the freezer on the other side of the room was calling out to be defrosted!

It's funny how an intermittent beep/noise can be hard to pin point at times. I'm sure we've all been there.

Many years ago, when these things were new on the block, we thought we had strange bleeping noises coming from the phone. When my wife rang the operator about it, she was asked if there was a smoke detector nearby; sure enough ... "change the battery" said the operator - they'd obviously had a lot of such calls.
