How long do sparkys on here tend to give Domestic Customers to pay before getting a little Impatient shall we see!?

i do work for an elderly lady, and she always tells me the same thing each time as she hands over my money just as i finish up...

she says
"my father told me you should always pay a man before the sweat he has given for YOUR job dries on his brow"

needless to say she is one of my favourite customers :)

Lost out on a domestic job at start of year as they wouldn't agree to any sort of payment plan. It had to be 100% payment when job was done, sod that!

Part of me thinks that Dom Littlewood and his mates have a lot to answer for, another tiny little part of me worries for the spark and other trades that took on the work.

Had a call from a bloke I subby to sometimes last week, asking about materials on a job I did 11 months previously... When I asked him why he needed the info he said and I quote "just sending the invoice in now"

Ha! I love that quote. Some of my best customers are elderly ladies. A joy to work for.

Did some work for an old guy in our village recently. Got positive feedback the other day from my Mum...apparently I spoke to him like he wasn't stupid and explained what I was going to do in detail. He said that because he is old most people just treat him like he knows nothing and don't bother explaining anything. Amazing how many "professionals" assume that because we are the experts we shouldn't bother explaining anything.

I never open anything I don't recognise, but take your point, could be worse, but it is a MacBook so will just keep deleting those unsolicited mails.
