BenQ

Oh, well I was just referring to their installation instructions Jason but maybe I am looking at an out of date document, or they are changing their specs/requirements, I don't know

Is this thread suggesting the Sunpower 327 and BenQ 325 sun forte mono are the same?

We had both lots of panels in this week and they were completely different. They give completely different results in PV SOL as well .

That's the impression in the opening post, but corrected here.

Thanks, spoken with Sungift, awaiting info - they didn't have anything immediately to hand despite advertising them as 'Award Winning' - so I asked which awards :) still waiting for info ...

Turns out they and Sunpower use the same cells, though they are different manufacturing plants, despite and alomost identical spec, so I was wrong in my belief that AU Optronics (that owns BenQ) made them for Sunpower..

Panasonic make efficient solar pv panels suitable for installations where it is important to maximise generation on a limited roof space.
Panasonic panels typically outperform by 5-8% in hot sunny weather.
In low light conditions they underperform many other good quality cheaper monocrystaline solar pv panels available on the UK market.
If roof space isnt limited and you are installing in a location that seldom gets very hot sunny weather why use them in preference to cheaper high quality alternatives, unless you are happy to pay an exceptional premium for a good product?
