Can get a half-decent RR for ÂŁ20k mate.
Cheers Pal, I have heard, and I may be wrong, but they have issues and cost a lot to run, I was thinking about a Shogun?

had a shogun. was a diesel guzzler. 24mpg. look at Jeep Cherokee diesel.
Have looked at the grand cherekee fella, the new ones are great, 5 years warrenty etc, but the older versions have very bad press regarding the on board computer, if the warrenty was 5 years I would go for one, but a second hand one will have 6 months at best and 20k will only get me a 2014 with 40k on the clock so a no go.

Alright Big head lol, seriously cheers for that Tel, didn't think I could get a 2016 at 20k, will look into the Jeeps, still open for other suggestions as well.

What are you looking to use it for , and how many people do you want to fit in it ?
Very good questions, cheers, well it is for towing my 2 ton Caravan, taking my dogs out to shows/ events, carrying waste etc to the tip, driving in Snow which we see a lot here, and carrying me the wife and probably 2 passengers.

i had a cherokee, one of the square shapes, 1993. best vehicle i ever had. only downside was it was 4l petrol, 18mpg, but it would pull a house, let alone a caravan.:D:D.

Have you thought about a crew can pickup .
I found the new shape rangers to be better than a car inside and a lot of them out there have not really been worked , especially if you look for one with out a tow kit fitted and get it done for a few hundred yourself !
All of our farming customers that have isuzu's tend to have more than one because they just keep the old one when a new one arrives, which says something !
But the cab is not as plush a a ranger .
Don't touch Mitsubishi , I have had 4 ( old shape ) and you are lucky to get 20000 out of one before some eye watering bills .

Having said that the old shape 60 plate ranger I have at the moment drinks like no other vehicle I have owned , but I am told this is not so on the new shape .
Have also got a 58 plate hilux and this is by far my favourite but it is a bit agricultural inside , but good on fuel and tows like a dream . The new shape ones are probably a lot more refined.
Or you could go for a Mercedes

I wouldn't be interested in a truck mate, but really appreciate your help, it must be a car, a shogun, landrover, jeep etc, not a truck.

All I can say is that it wouldn’t hurt just for added protection.
