Had a tricky job this afternoon. 5 metre run of 20mm flexible conduit running through stud wall then 90' bend. Really struggled getting any of my mighty rods through (splintered 2 of them)

What's the best method? Is there a specific attachment for rods?

Why flexible conduit Mate? 5 meters is quite a long run for flexible conduit!!!

Ease of installation mate. It's for my conservatory so it doesn't really matter too much. And besides, I had a large amount of flex conduit so I decided to just use it.
Should have bitten the bullet and used rigid tube, and done the job properly.

Does flex make it an "unproper" job?

It's ran through quite a few studs and fixed in numerous positions.

The cable has enough mechanical protection and the conduit had enough support. Is there something I'm missing?

If it's in the wall it probably won't help you but I used to whip mine, as in the whipping motion, it always helped it shuffle along inside .

Ah, that looks good. May have to invest in one of those.

Any preffered brand?

Been a while now since I've been on the tools, but it's only a length of thin steel tape, so aside from the plastic casing breaking being bashed about, any cheap and cheerful one will do the job.
