Anybody else use BG brushed steel sockets and switches ? I seem to be having problems with the rockers failing lately

Not wholly related to the OP but I had a couple of BG breakers today that had threaded cage clamp screws and would not nip up on busbar. The DB was a couple of years old and I was relocating it in a different position, but the screws should not be failing. I quite like some of the BG but am starting to be a bit wary of them.

Likewise I've only used a limited amount of BG but I've had problems with 16A breakers. Not impressed with overall quality control. Bought cheap as it was a temp builders installation. Have spent that saving in wasted time!

funnily enough i`v fitted quite a few british general boards....

find em OK....

better than the MK crap...

Quite like the boards myself. Bit put off em for two reasons; various problems others have mentioned about them on here, and did a fairly neat and tidy board with one today but as soon as put din rail and opds back on and connected the five neutrals it looked sheet! But at 60 quid a pop they are alright.

Or just save all the agro and get a proper sparks round for 45 minutes to test the supply cable and re-fit the socket 'properly'
