Evening all,

This is a ridiculously long thread, so I dont expect anyone to read it all so I think I'm just looking to see if I'm in the right ball park. I have a friend (experienced electrician) helping me with this job and he will look over the quote as well, but I'd appreciate some opinions from you guys as well in the meantime.

I fully appreciate it's impossible to give much advice without having a lot more information, I think I'm looking for 'yeah, that looks about right' or, 'no thats way too much or too little' if possible.

Very briefly.. RCD protection on all circuits, Main bonding and earthing ok.

My quote ÂŁ4953 (mainly priced p/point), based on all white sockets/switches. Approx extra ÂŁ200 if wants LED GU10's.

Cheers guys! :uhoh2:

Every business is different, and there is no system on the market which can caterer for every subject.....its takes time to setup but once done will save valuable time...excel is quite simple ..list materials you use in sections per sheet, eg, cable one sheet, consumer units and rcds etc on another sheet etc. each section you can enter cost, quantity and time....once finished your end quoting sheet will display cost, material markup, man hours and labour markup, giving you the overall view of the project, the sheets per section will prevent you from missing vital equipment such as containment....takes time to setup, but becomes just enter quantities when finished.
This is something I really need to get round to doing!! Very difficult finding time just now though between too much work and family life!!

Well I can`t post excel files on the forum, but willing to send a cost sheet template for anyone whos interested, its mainly for fire alarms, but nothing stopping you adapting it to anything you wish....just fill out the blanks...and maybe any feed back would help others

A very detailed breakdown HHD, as Murdoch says though a bit too wordy. I did find the font hard to read btw. I can't comment on the cost, it would be cheaper in my area but its just the way it is this side of the pond, its all very location dependant.

These one stuck out for me:
35)Allow to fit vanity light and cupboard, client supplied

What's fitting a vanity cupboard got to do with an electrician?
