Was chatting with a guy today and we were chatting about the biggest sites we had work on.
Mine was Intel fab 24. It had 700 electricians. I think about 3500 men in total. Was a great job for the old hiding spots. The good old days.

Anyone on bigger?

Out of interest how hard is it for an English sparks to get on a job like that?

Hi Mate. The most difficult part would be to gain there electrical license it's a pain in the ---. After that various courses like Boom Lift. Confined spaces. Working at height training. Then Hazardous Area course which is the equivalent to COmpex.

Since I've been here I've managed to do quite a lot of Mining works. Oil and Gas can be a pain to get into but I kept persisting and managed to get in.

I've got a nice little setup running here but its something I would of loved to have done if I hadn't :) Did you just do some travelling out there and fall into it or purposely moved out there finding a job 1st etc?

Never been on anything that large. Largest for me has been BAE systems Brough, which is a big site, but wasn't big work wise as it wasn't the initial construction, just ongoing projects. It still kept 4 local medium to large electrical contracting companies busy most of the time though.
