Anyone else had PM's from Dan or noticed the bumps on really really old threads? Is this places doomed?

was fun reading about industrial and distribution side. now seems to be mostly sheds and metal consumer units and if my course is enough to be qualified...
plenty of electricians and engineers are grumpy (may be part of the trade?) and since is easy to get banned from here then is better to keep quiet...

The forum generates more revenue from ad clicks by having more new members joining up and more five week wonders scrolling through endless threads. Get rid of the experienced guys providing good advice in a few threads and get more threads going where the blind can openly lead the blind without fear of getting ripped to pieces and it opens up more space for ads, thus more revenue.

It's just a business decision. One that will ultimately leave this place in the same category as the screwfix forum. Just a place for poorly trained and inexperienced house bashers to tell other poorly trained and inexperienced house bashers where they're going wrong.

Want proper advice? The other side is the place to be now.
