Bit of an odd one, one socket not working

Conservatory on side of house, been there 20 years.

Has floor sockets and a double socket above the door that also feeds the fan/light (trunked).

Fan/light not working yesterday, hmmm so check the plug that it's spur'd off and that's dead too (radio plugged in won't work).

Checked the floor sockets, fine they're working
Checked the dining room sockets (next to the conservatory so assume the feed is off the loop there, all working
Check the main board, no PCB tripped (and to be fair there's only 5 in there, 1.Boiler, 2.Cooker, 3. Lights, 4. Up and 5. down sockets).

How is this even possible that the floor works but the ceiling doesn't? I've yet to open up the high socket, but I'm not expecting anything to be amiss, after all it ain't moved in 20+ years.

Any other obvious thoughts I'm missing??

It’s not unusual for a socket itself to give up.

Are the fan/lights fused down? Maybe a blown fuse.

Firstly you can't assume anything, the non working socket could be supplied from anywhere, you need to test to see if it's because there's no live, no neutral, or no live and no neutral (plus no earth).
Check the size of cable in the failed socket it may give a clue as to where it's fed from
It could be one or more loose connections in the socket, or the switch failed or loose / failed connections where it's fed from or the cable has been trapped and failed under pressure over the years it's been in.

Don't forget to check the Cooker socket, it may be from there.

Could be a junction box or hidden connection between the dining room sockets and that upper spur that's come loose or corroded over time. Worth opening up that high socket just to rule it out, sometimes it's the bit that's "never touched" that surprises you. Also, check for any fused connection units (FCUs) that might’ve blown, easy to overlook if tucked away.

Could the high level socket have been spurred from a socket of room above (ie back to back with a bedroom socket maybe?) or spurred from same RFC as upstairs sockets. Maybe S.FCU accidentally switched off after 20years or as others have fuse blown!

Sorry, been in Wales for a few days.

Not gonna believe this, came back and put a bag in the corner of the conservatory for next time, thought to myself let's move/tidy that whiteboard thing that's been placed against the wall (blaming wife here) guess what's behind it, a fused spur.... SWITCHED OFF!!!

To be fair as it's usually hidden by some rubbish or other I'd totally forgotten it was there.

So it's fixed and I now know there's a fuse in the conservatory, jeez.

I had the same thing a few months ago, took me a few hours to find a fused spur behind a book case.
