Black Enamel Scuffduit

When using black enamel conduit how the hell do you stop the unsightly marks from the vice.

I have the vice as tight as it will go and still cannot stop these marks looks awful

a bit of sheet alli between ther vice and the conduit.

once the conduit is installed i paint the marks and lock rings with black enamel paint

i generally use fluorescent green.

is this for h&s hi viz or so you can see to whack it when the cables dont go round a chicane
