Discuss blagdon pond electrics in the Australia area at ElectriciansForums.net

just seen you post des, hilarious. you are making plenty of presuppositions there.

More than 1 electrican was consulted and the manufacturer eventually confirmed the problem and resolution. no more problems since the initial instalation.....apart from the odd spark and cracking noises when it rains :D

Its a sealed unit ??!!!!!

You have arrived at a satisfactory resolution of the problem,at least satisfactory to yourself

Trial and error has been your method and you are pleased with the outcome

Hilarious
That is not a word I would usually associate with electrical safety
What was written by me still stands, an assumption I will make is that if you were truly competent and confident of working with electrics then the matter would have been done with weeks ago

By returning here, you have demonstrated to me at least that the issue is still very much alive in your thoughts

Electrical work is an occupation that can be understood by most people of average ability
The problem being though,is that the understanding is gained through thorough training

Without that thorough training, working with electricity can not only be a fire hazzard,it can kill
Sometimes the effects of incompetent electrical work are felt by innocent people at later dates who had no hand or knowledge of that incompetence

You are content with the procedure you adopted and the outcome, thats your decision and its your safety and others in the future that is wagered on that contentment

I want no more to do with this topic, after all I personally wont lose sleep over your installation or the comments you make
