Bleeping light

Went to have a look at a light for a little old lady, as in her words "its been bleeping ever since I put one of them free bulbs in that the gas board sent" so I went round and in the hall was an energy saving lamp, which was apparently bleeping intermittently."I tried a different bulb but it did the same thing" the old lady said "do you think they,ve sent me faulty bulbs?" A matter of minutes later and the problem was solved.Any ideas?

It was actually a low battery in the hall smoke alarm!

also, a lamp is a complete fitting, with a bulb.

I can't see that picture?...

It was tongue in cheek by the way but your talking about a light fitting, the lamp goes inside and bulbs grow out the ground.

Taught that from being an apprentice, you get laughed at in my type of work if you turned up and call lamps bulbs, before you get the "Bulbs grow out the ground lad, now go and tie wrap that 100 metres of cable to that tray"
