Hi,
I work as a Maintenance Electrician in a factory and when one of the guys there told me he has a problem with blowing bulbs, I had no answer for him! He told me a bulb will last about 2 days and then blow. Has anybody ever experienced such a problem and what may cause it? :banghead:

all the ones i've come across tend to be either a loose connection or cheap bulbs, also ask him if it keeps tripping the mcb when blowing cos i find the cheap one's element's tend to blow inwards where as the better quality ones blow outwards.

Yes, they do trip the MCB. And knowing this guy they are probably from a market somewhere!

I hate people buying cheap lamps from wilkinsons, they never last and you have to let the customer know this reason without upsetting them, they ask you to check the lighting for faults but most of the time its only down to the lamps.

The good thing about this as times are hard is that you get lots of call-outs.
