Hello All

just pricing a job at present & in M&E schedule mentions BMS system anyone recommend a system for me to look at ?

air con
heating
lighting

give a call to Birmingham air-conditioning that will sort your heating and aircon out

bms controlled lighting might be dahli fittings etc

schneider themselves dont actually do the aircon then subby it out.

they can sort it out if you call them but they are expensive (i worked for a firm that subbed to them)

Schneider were spot on at an install for us, although the wiring lads that they subbed the work out to were absolute morons!!

if there is bms already on the site its best to stick to the same system

Sigma is a good system particularly for large installs, but it's not the cheapest and I've heard that it may be discontinued soon.

Trend is a big player or for smaller systems try a tridium based bms such as OSS: http://www.aeiuk.com/open-system-solutions/products/neoss-v3/

Yes, I would recommend Trend, only because it's the system I've worked with the most.

whats trend like for future use? i know a lot of the schneider kit is backwards compatable (some of the controllers are from the 80's on a few jobs)

The actual instruments in the field appear to have remained the same for many years.
The controllers however have changed considerably.
Not sure whether anything is future proof?
