Hi all, first time on here and I need some advice please.

My boiler keeps tripping. After the original boiler installers came to fix it and declared the problem was due to faulty electrics, I had it rewired onto its own RCD circuit, and it was fine for a while, but has now tripped every day for the last week.
I need to prove that it is the boiler which is at fault but need to check first that the electrics cannot be called into question.
The boiler is on its own circuit so am I right in thinking that there's nothing else electrically that could be interfering?
Also the consumer unit and boiler are both in the garage. It has been damp the last few days and although there's no water leaking in or anything, the fuse spur is on a single skin exterior brick wall. Could this be causing any issues?
The main problem is that it is intermittent. The boiler seems to trip around an hour after coming on in the morning (when its cold and damp), but within another hour or two, it works again. If someone came to look at it while it was working, would they be able to even begin to locate a potential issue with the electrics?
Thanks for reading & helping. This whole situation is very stressful and the boiler installers (A Shade Greener) are being very difficult / unhelpful.
Nick

it could be condensation internally in the boiler, causing it to short out every now and then since you say its intermittent, water can get into all sorts of places, we dont know how the fixtures are installed so it may be that there is a leak in the roof, nobody can know really without being on site

Your getting serious all of a sudden, just lost an arm wrestle?

I recall my old Pa doing that. Refused to go to the dentist. Tied a string around his decayed tooth and door, and then slammed the door shut. Took him several goes, but it came out in the end. After allowing a couple of days for his gums to settle, and the afters of a Sunday lunch, he fashioned a replacement tooth from a chicken bone. Simple really.

...everyone's a cluckin dentist...

Apologies for getting back on topic here, but the issue is finally resolved...
I called an electrician to do a test on the electrics and to provide a condition report. On the strength of this I was able to persuade the boiler company to do a proper analysis which found a leak in the condensate trap which was dripping onto the electrics causing an intermittent short circuit. This has now been fixed and the problem is solved.
This was my first visit to this site and I'm blown away by the helpfulness shown by you all. It helped massively as I know next to nothing about electrics so a highly stressful situation was made much easier to deal with.
Thank you to all contributors, you have been an enormous help.
Nick.
