I am installing a 16 amp boiler supply, which will be fed via 2.5mm cable and enclosed in mini trunking throughtout its length. Does this need to be on a RCBO? RCD?
My understanding is that all sockets are now required to be on RCD, and any circuits that are not buried within the wall by 50mm, but as this is surface and in mini trunking, and not supplying any sockets, would suggest that a 16amp MCB will suffice.
