Test between the steel and the MET. If you get less than 22kohms, then it needs bonding. To be honest, those stantions will if bonded help to bring down your Zs, due to the concrete that will have a large surface area that will be in contact with earth.

Additionally to the normal main bonding of structural steelwork within the barn, if the stanchions and any other extraneous-conductive-parts or exposed-conductive-parts can be touched by livestock they MUST all be supplementary bonded in accordance with BRB 705.415.2.1

The structural steelwork of this building does need to be bonded the the buildings MET/EMT. However the steelwork is already interconnected by the cross beams etc, so pointless trying to supplementary bond them.

If this is a TT supplied building, the steelwork will in all honesty have a better Ra value than the usual 1 metre rods used. The only thing i might consider doing, is to drive a deep driven rod and connect that to the steelwork. That will certainly stabilise the earthing to this structure if the concrete base is a flimsy affair that's often associated to farm building structures...

Cheers guys
It a tns system and there are about ten of these all seperated from the main steelwork which ia not bonded either. I will be back sometime this week so will test it then.

Thanks
