you can buy attachments for the earth bar, which terminates into 2 terminals, and has a tapped thread so you lug onto that. Looks nmuch more proffessional than splitting the cores

Generally splitting of cores is considered "bad practice" i know we all do it sometimes but it does not look professional does it!!!!!In one of the N.I.C.E.IC BOOKS i think it is earthing and bonding remarks on this poor type of work.You can also buy lugs that reduce the size to a pin crimp type connection
 
Hi guys, I tested the bonding with my proper MFT1502 and got good readings in two offices to pipework (< 1 ohm) on low ohms, however one was reporting 50K ohms impedance to the M.E.T. at low-reading ohms, but 0.01M ohms at 250V.

I would just welcome your thoughts really! Don't worry I am going to re-test, as this was at the end of a long 6 day week and at that point I packed up and went home. :D
