I want to verify if the breaker size is correct for the service going into my detached garage. I have 6 AWG cable going from my main panel in my house to a detached garage. The cable length is close to 100 feet from the main panel to the sub panel in the garage and a 60 amp 240V breaker from the main panel is supplying the sub panel in the garage. Is a 60 amp breaker okay for this application or should the breaker be 50 amp? I've seen conflicting information when searching for this online.
