Experienced Electrician, C&G 236 Parts 1 & 2, AM 1 & 2 18th Edition Am 2. (JIB Gold Card)
I've been out of the trade for some time, but did a full four-year apprenticeship with W G Heath and Co in Plymouth and I have experience in Industrial, Comercial and Domestic installations and maintenance (trunking, conduit, SWA, MI, single and three phase wiring, instrumentation, commissioning and testing. 1st and 2nd fix domestic new build and re-wires and more).
I've been desk-based for a number of years but have recently tried turning a hobby into a business, it hasn't worked out but I really enjoyed the extra physical activity, so have recertified as an electrician.
I will do the 2391-52 course and get re-approved and am looking to take on my own work, but as you all know there is a chicken and egg situation with the NICEIC/Napit and 2 years of work to reference.
I'm open to possibilities really, I could go full-time for the right role or look to build relationships with local Electrical Contractors, working via my Ltd company on a day rate as and when they require. The latter would allow me to take on my own work and build up two years of work, relying on 3rd party inspections.
Anyone based locally, who could use my services either now or in the future, please get in touch. I've learnt it never hurts to have a chat and network as they say.
If that sounds of interest please do get in touch.
