I am looking for peoples personal opinion on what they think is the brightest Lamps out there, I currently am using COB LED's that are 4.5 Watt and give off 360 Lumens. anyone know of anything reliable they would recommend.
Thanks

it isn't about the money really, its more about getting the quality and the light, the cost of lamps is a bit irrelevant when you explain that a decent gu10 costs 2.50 and an LED will last 6 times as long, that's without the energy saving costs or the grubby sparks to change the lamps.

I have never used sealed units as I will be looking after these places in 20 years time when I will have to change all the spots because 1 failed and I cant match them up

I think that could well be the case with any manufacturers range of current lamps after 20 years... I'd be looking at full voltage LED's too, rather than 12V lamps + TX/controler, i've had to change the spec on several areas of our project, due to unacceptable failures of both ELV lamps and controllers!!

this is the exact reason i wont use any type of complete led downlighter units, i stick to the downlight gu10 combination as much as i can, or get the client to supply

20 years would be a good result i have had to replace quite a few allready within a year or two

i use TLC 5w superbright lamps, they are brighter than standard 50w halogen by a country mile and a nice white light in the natural white range, they also dim well

Thanks little spark. Good point but the drivers I'm considering have a sync and communication between driver function. So (as long as it works)...
