now now lets play nice
basically I quoted to run a new feed into a rented flat from the CU as they were having an oven fitted that was larger that the 3KW that the old one was that was off of the ring,
BG comes in and recommends fitting a new RCD CU in the kitchen cupboard and using the hob feed (4 or 6mm) to feed both of the appliances
so that's supply and fit and certify 1RCD CU 2 surface mounted isolators and the faffing that goes with it
for ÂŁ185
This is a central London job - was just wondering if they are starting off with loss leaders or are their labour rates really that low

there is a separate feed that come in on a 4 or 6mm that feed the current electric hob, I did not look at the cable as I am not in the habit of putting CU in remote locations, bit like when you play hunt the CU, but of course its behind the sofa under that wooden panel that's painted the same colour as the wall, my bad!

Just done an inspection for a customer who had BG in to sort a tripping breaker took them 3 days couldn't sort it told customer would have to chase out walls and replace cable but they weren't covered to carry out the chasing need to get a builder into do it
10 minutes to sort it out they had the following all off 16a mcb on 3 separate radials
Dishwasher ,kettle ,tumble dryer , washing machine and power shower pump but a spare 20a radial with just an outside socket on it so split the load solved problem no wall chasing
