This is what I found at a rewire I'm doing just now. The cable in the picture is for a panel heater that is part of an electric heating system installed 3 years ago by BG. The strange thing is the red/black cable was long enough! They must have been making it look as if it had been rewired!!

...I keep saying it,but sooner or later, one of these blue-chip monopolithic sales driven gim-crack excursions is going to unfold them "Ratner style",and a shat-storm of claims a la bank charges, will follow. Oh...and that stupid repetitive jingle on the new advert makes my prostate sad...:35:

These people are basically crooks, I was called to a house once after BG told the home owner, while they were on holiday at the other side of the world, that their installation was unsafe and was in a critical state. Much worry ensued and I was sent in to give it a good looking over, there was no problem at all. It left me thinking if the person was short of their target for the month. I'd have like to have been put in a room with that bloke. Alone. With a golf club.

Had similar when the secretary at work (single mom) had them out to look at a non-working socket (turned out to be the appliance :D) they gave her a "report" stating she needed CU replacing at an exorbitant cost.
Went and had a look, it was 16th ed and tested out OK.

Doesn't everyone know that British Gas is infested with lying scum with no principles that just want your money????

Ah, but if the two of you were in the room then you wouldn't be alone. Daz
