Copies of the BS5839 will serve you no purpose apart from bedtime reading.....If you want to be approved in any way, the first thing a trade inspector will ask "do you have the original Reference to BS5839 parts 1, 3 and 6 and SP30" if you haven`t....FAIL...!!

Its a minefield out there. And won't fail as already a member just trying to have a bit more info and read certain reference points

How can you be a member of BAFE, or any other acredited body without a BS reference....?????

Not a member of BAFE never heard of them. I am an electrician and a member of a competent person scheme. So cover all aspects of electrical work not just fire alarms.
 
I'm assuming Bs 5839-1 is a copyrighted document and there would be legal issues in the UK with sharing it so thread closed I'm afraid.
