BS7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations

Hi all,

New to this site, so be kind. Im currently half way through my training but, I am in desperate need for the Green cover book. I currently have the Red cover book. Where would you suggest the cheapest place for this will be?

Depends on your local laws.

Usually if you own a hard copy you're entitled to have an electronic copy as a backup.

Think that law is all down to interpretation. Not a legal expert so couldn't comment, but still buying a copy from someone who is unlikely to be declaring all income to the tax man is hardly good is it.

The copywrite laws allow an exception for copies made for reasearch, study, review and critism.
As long as no fee is charged, and the purpos is for home study, it is allowed.
Unfortunately it would appear that the vendor has not quite got things right.
They should not state that it is ideal for working electricians, just keep the bit about it being ideal for students, and the price should just be for the postage and packaging and perhaps to cover the cost of the blank disk.
I notice that someone else appears to be selling a PDF copy for £4.99.

Lol, I don't have a problem with it, I was just pointing out the pitfalls of some low quality copies. Your version was top notch, indexed and fully searchable

Yup, the £5.99 version on fleabay is simply a scan, I bought one for a look.

For anyone considering this route, don't waste your money!

I Love it when the amendments are released £70 for a new regs, £20 for the OS guide. £150 notes for the amedment update course
