Hello, I have a overhead fan and light assembly that takes a circular t5 bulb with a G10q 4 pin connection the only circular t5 bulbs I can find anywhere all have the 2xg13 2 pins in 2 pins out connection. Is it possible and safe to make a convertor/adaptor that would plug in to change the g10q adapter to a 2xg13 adapter?

Try the website for Oriel lighting and enter T5 tube in the search as it shows them.

I would just buy a T9 ring fluorescent of the appropriate wattage.
Making adjustments to fluorescent tube fittings is not generally recommended. Especially if the connectors have to cross over the tube.

Seeing you have not had a brilliant response.
Presumably you have tried to obtain a circular T5 G10q lamp and been unsuccessful since a quick search finds three suppliers who say they have them though surprisingly two describe them as T6 even though the part number is T5. I would trust CP lighting to supply the correct part and Lamp specs describes it as 5/8" diameter tube.
Circular T5 22W Day Light 865 G10q 225mm Dia - http://www.lampspecs.co.uk/Circular-T5-22W-Day-Light-865-G10q-225mm-Dia
Circular T6 22W Day Light 865 G10q 187mm Dia - http://www.cp-lighting.co.uk/Circular-T6-22W-Day-Light-865-G10q
Part Number LET.021.3052 is a great Fluorescent Circular T6 22W 6500K G10q 187mm diameter available from Stock at great prices. The bar code for this item is - http://www.firstlightdirect.com/fluorescent-circular-t6-22w-6500k-g10q-187mm-diameter-51682-p.asp
presumably they are actually a lamp only used in Australia.
