Bush and locknut spanners

Is any using them or have done and how did they rate them. Does it actually work on DBs where there are already lots of glands and you need to replace one.

Got a set about 10 months ago, Very impressed, bush keys are great especially with a ratchet, Only used the 25mm locknut tool but worked a treat, saved a few skint knuckles on trunking, would defo recommend

Completely agree. Great bits of kit, and very handy for small trunking/DBs

Its more the locknut sockets i was looking at. Don't suppose you know if they work on every size of locknut do you. Some glands kits seem to supply slightly different sized nuts than others do.

They work on the large galv locknuts, but I don't often use the glands with brass locknuts.

I bought some of these and wasn't too impressed, one of the bush spanner attachments broke quite easily and the locknut spanner and attachments only fit some makes of locknuts ,I've been looking for something also for larger sizes and will probably buy some box spanners and cut them down.

We used to get these spanners for free when we bought a certain number of bushes (can't remember how many were needed, or which wholesalers).
Unfortunately none of them seem to fit any more, as the bushes are a lot thinner than they used to be.

I did once purchase one off ebay, but it was for the old type (The ones that dont bloody break when you tighten them) you can buy them on ebay for the new type, i think. The locknut spanner was about as much use as a chocolate fire-guard tho.

was tempted to get a locknut spanner but kind of pointless as we always use lockrings not nuts

is there a bush spanner you guys recommend?

for 20,25,38mm and 2" as well

Don't you get bushes with a 'slogging nut'. We get them and the nut has a castellated outer rim so it can be knocked tight with a hammer and a small punch (or more often than not a flat screwdriver).

The new ck one isn't too bad but its only good when there is no lip in the enclosure.

Also there are lockring spanners available I don't have one that easy life tools do one which looks ok.
