I have a business account, they gave me free 18month banking when I started up in 2003, Pay about ÂŁ70 a quarter charges now, I never use my overdraft either as this would bump the cost up!

I have a business account with Santander (was alliance and leicester till taken over). Never been charged unless there wasn't sufficent fuds in to cover out goings. No charges for paying in or taking out. Cash can be paid in or taken out at post office counters as well as bank branches. Cheques get posted off but generally get credited to my account after 4 days. I've had nothing but good service from them.

I used a seperate personal current account, never had any problems, and never cost me a penny.

Business accounts can get expensive.

Cheers........Howard

Same here SirKit, but I feel it just looks a bit pants when customers starting writing a cheque out to my business name and then I have to tell them to make it to me personally. Looks like I'm trying to be a bit dishonest!
