I can't comment about other areas of the country but in Scotland, adherence to the REAL code of conduct is the exception rather than the rule. I have written to REAL on several occasions over the last 6 months, but I have seen no improvement.
I have been told there are investigations ongoing but it remains to seen what will result from that and how long it will take before any action makes a difference.
There are some very big companies making a lot of money out of Solar and the first sign of any hassle from REAL results in these companies engaging expensive legal representatives and every point is argued to death. REAL do not have the kind of funds to pursue these companies that these companies have to defend their actions. I fear it could be a long time before they are brought to account.
