Just recently installed a lighting circuit on a wylex type b 6amp Mcb and recently noticed its been buzzing I have changed it and it still buzzes all connection are tight what could it be there's dimmers on the circuit and 5 watt led lamps any ideas

To add to what Grant has writen:
Have a look for inductive resonance on Google. The magnetic element of a MCB can act as a resonant inductor at certain frequencies.

Gets a bit worrying when the bus-bars in a switchboard “sing” to you.

Grantr37 this may seem sad but I almost got turned on from your post (# 15).

That has to be one of the best answers I have ever seen on a forum.

There are others on here who post just like me, take E54 and Tony as examples....

At the time this post was written, i was at my desk enjoying a cup of coffee, going over the mornings memo's, ....lol!!

Would have been around 7am here...

Ive had similar when i installed 12V 50W lamps with wire wound transmormers and dimmer switches. I changed the the wire wound transformer for a new type tamlite transformer and the buzzing stopped. Ive also had problems when installing banks of LEDs and 50W Halogen with inrush currents tripping type B MCBs.
