C & G 2356 NVQ 3 Knowledge assessment unit?

Hi, was just wondering how the above is completed? Is it an exam? Or is it questions that you answer at home and send in like the job reports?

The knowledge assessment part of 2356 was by a combination of oral questions on site, 2330 exam and assignment questions with your NVQ portfolio. Not sure what methods are used now. We had one assessor who gathered evidence by videoing you at work and while you answered the questions.

Yeah thats what I thought. But now they are offering 2356 with no onsite visits? And for people with no formal qualifications you can get the nvq by completing the normal writing up of the jobs and by completing a knowledge assessment unit? Just wondered if that knowledge assessment is now an exam?

Well either your training company are bonkers or fraudulent. I'm not sure how you can be assessed without being assessed, if you see what I mean.

Even group captain Part P uses assessors to verify that you know what you are doing

2330 lv3 exams and am2 go to your knowledge when i did it that was before the am2 had a written exam

this is what I thought. I am looking into this for my brother. When I completed my nvq a few years back I was visited by an assessor who took pictures and assessd me. But now there are companies offering the nvq for £750+ with the candidate doing all his own pictures and evidence and then uploading it. And then theres this knowledge assessment unit too? Is there someone out there that is doing one of these on line nvq's that can shed a bit of light?

If you have not done lv2 or 3 2330 or similar its still possible to do the NVQ 2356 lv3 but you then also have to do a Knowledge assessment which is a LOT of questions on all the different units eg 301 - 308 as well as pay more cash

If you haev already done LV2 and 3 2330 or similar then you will have already acheived the knowledge from this so will not be questioned on it and then you jsut upload your certificates which will cover these Knowledge units
