Hi, just wondered if anyone on here might be able to help.
I am currently doing the level 3 2365, and our project is to design the installation for a workshop building, which has a mezzanine area, restroom, accessible toilet and shower, male & female toilets and a main workshop area. Plus an adjacent storage building.
Part of what we are asked to do is show how we would route the cables for the 20 odd circuits which we will need to install. As such I am trying to get hold of an electronic copy of the workshop floor plan. We got given a paper version when I started the course, and there was some mention that the pdf version was available via C&G website. But when I've gone to look for it myself on the C&G website, I can find PDF's for other projects, one was for a hotel, but not for the workshop and storage building.
I see it has an area called 'walled garden', which evidently is only accessible for tutors and such like. It could be that the workshop PDF is hidden behind there, I don't know. I have taken a photo of the paper floor plan, and imported this into my PC, but it is poor quality, the pdf would be much better to work from. I have asked my tutor at college, but haven't yet had a response about it. Given the number of queries and requests I'm sending my project tutor, I am trying to resolve as many of them as I can via other means, so I thought I'd ask in here. In case for example there might be another student who reads this, who has a copy of the PDF who wouldn't mind sharing it with me.
In case anyone familiar with the course is going to point out that we don't actually have to show a visual route plan, I know that, it's just that I find it incredibly helpful from a grouping perspective (and other reasons) to have a visual reference of how the circuits are going to be arranged. I've found a image manipulation app which I can use to add layers on to, and so I've got each circuit on it's own 'layer' so I can have them all overlapping and see how they will all be situated, but then as I realise problems with a proposed layout, I'm able to edit each circuit individually until I've reached a suitable arrangement which complies with the regs and the requirements of the project brief. But like I say, the photo image I'm working from is not ideal, it isn't completely flat/straight, and the detail of it is poor. It would be way better if I had a PDF.
Thanks to anyone taking the time to read this. Hope you've all had a good Christmas and best wishes for the new year
