Anyone done this is recently ? Am currently doing this at college but am beginning to wonder if it is any use when searching for work afterwards as I've looked about and there doesn't seem to be any jobs that ask for this qualification.

This is an excellent but totally overlooked qualification but it will benefit you, especially if you are planning on going it alone or doing any design beyond domestic.

What's the project on this time?

This book is a must-have to help you with the project:Electrical Installation Design Guide: Calculations for Electricians and Designers - The IET

Also remember that if you're down to the last 2 for a job and you have 2391-20 and the other guy doesn't, it could swing it!

Good luck and post up if you have any project trouble, we'll share it here! :)

I sat June written paper and completed project couple of months ago. Very worthwhile course. Certainly won't do you any harm when applying for jobs but it doesn't seem to be a requirement for very many jobs.

The project is a Car workshop with mezzanine floor and offices its been looking at me for a few days now behind my tv going to have a good go tomorrow. Cheers IQ i'll order that book now. I have been working on commercial / industrial jobs for 8 years nut find myself out of work for last 5 weks so am thinking about going it alone if nothing pops up. So hopefully course will come in handy.
