Hi does any body have the cable current carrying capacity tables in a PDF format?

Thanks

Caveat emptor of course, as I have seen at least one manufacturer's table that did not match the regs.

You're welcome to this, too, which I put together a while back as a quick reckoner. Select by choice of CPD, pink is >3% VD for lighting, red is >6% VD.

Caveat emptor of course, as I have seen at least one manufacturer's table that did not match the regs.

Manufacturers CCC along with other related cable tables generally don't match BS7671. They will in most instances be quoting better values all round. And i often take advantage of our cable manufacturers data, over that of those stated in the reg's and codes...

My point being, though, that you can't rely on manufacturers' tables to prove compliance with the regs. unless you know that the cables are of exactly the type specified, which wouldn't be the case in an EICR for example.

Well aren't we told to follow manufacturers data/instructions when a conflict exists?? The reason why manufacturers tables and BS7671 tables often differ, is BS 7671 tables often try to cover a group of similar cables in a single table. Unless were talking about an unknown cable manufacturer from some back and beyond country, compliance to the Reg's shouldn't be a problem...

Whilst i agree with you on the EICR argument, i'd tend to put more faith on the actual manufacturers cable data tables, than that of anything produced in BS7671.

I would also state, that anyone here that isn't fully competent to make such assessments between cable manufacturers tables and BS/Reg's tables, should always refer to BS 7671, as you will then always be in compliance!!
